Pub Sing Suggestion « Thread Started on Aug 20, 2009, 8:58pm »
Does anyone know if management has ever considered making one of the weekends an amateur/open mic Pub Sing weekend? Folks could register in advance so that there would be some structure, variety and expectations of timing and such. It could prove logistically challenging at first but could really take off after a few seasons. I know that there are some purists out there, but a lot of fun that could be had this.

Not likely.
The Artistic Director believes in professional entertainment at faire—this ain't ren karaoke. And I can tell you from first hand experience, running Pub Sing may look like a snap, but it is HARD.

I was very disappointed to see that you won't be hosting any of the pubsings this year.

I was of two minds of it all; if she came back and asked me, I wouldn't have said no, but at the same time, I recall thinking when it was over, "I can live without the extra stress of putting on an extra show three days of the run."
