the 4 of us will be in one car so no need to worry about us, and we will have a GPS thingy, but i'd need the definite iteneraries or address. and of course we need the start time to so i can tell them what time to be ready

OK. Here it is: Seems everyone just wants to meet at the 1st winery so for the GPS crowd, here are addresses and itinerary.

First we will meet at 11am to open:
Fridays Creek Winery
3485 Chaneyville Road
Owings, MD 20754

We will then proceed to
Running Hare Vineyard
150 Adelina Road
Prince Frederick, MD 20678

Next up is
Solomons Island Winery
515 Garner Lane
Lusby, MD 20657

then we will break for lunch (and beer tasting) at the
Ruddy Duck Bar & Grill
13200 Dowell Rd
Dowell, MD 20629

OK. Time to get our wine back on at
Cove Point Winery
755 Cove Point Road
Lusby, MD 20657
410-326-0949

Then we finish up at
Perigeaux Vineyards & Winery
8650 Mackall Road
St. Leonard, MD 20685

We will most likely spend 30 minutes to an hour at each winery depening on how many wines we are all going to be sampling. There is usually a small charge of a few dollars at each winery for a given number of samples. Also, since this is the end of the season, not all wines may be available as they are sold out (alas, the ports are always the first to go :'( ) I will try and get pricing on sampling and post as soon as I can find out. Also, the menu for the Ruddy Duck is available at http://www.ruddyduckbrewery.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=menu.main as well as we most likely be able to take advantage of their football specials.

I will post tasting prices as soon as I can. Ladies & Gentlemen ~ put your livers on standby.

None of the wineries answered their phones today, so I will call about pricing tomorrow. I know Running Hare does not charge for tastings and Solomon's Island starts at $5....will have more info tomorrow

I would like to thank all the DoRTs as well as their friends and family who made it out to the Wine Tour this Sunday. It was a wine fun filled, day long adventure that reminded me of why we do these things...we may have seen some beautiful scenery, tasted some yummy wines and had a good meal with some bad football but we had a LOT of laughs and we kept each other entertained all day ~ afterall, that's what we do best!

So to you all, again, Thank You. Sorry I will miss Hack & Slash and we are still working on Celtic Christmas at Boordy Vineyards next month. More to come as that develops.

I concur..Thanks to all, DoRTS and non-DoRTs alike who made this a most enjoyable trip.

Great friends, good wine and amazing weather!

Things we learned (feel free to add to this list)

...Phil knows everyone in the area (well..at least those encountered after he showed up)...

...Yes, you can do a wine tasting in your kitchen...

...Terracotta warriors do have a place in wineries...

...Seth at the Ruddy Duck is indeed...the man..

...a dozen people camped out in front of a winery 1/2 hour before they open can freak out the staff when the roll in...and cause a call for reinforcements...

...it is possible to work the word "Spoog" into a conversation at a wine tasting...and make it funny...

...working for wine is acceptable...
